About Michael Domitrovich

I AM a multi-disciplinary artist working in the media of healing exchange and psychic phenomena. As the founder of EdibleSpirit Inc. and ediblespirit.com, I have worked for more than a decade as a channel, healer, and teacher of the esoteric arts.

You can call me Mikey, but I am not the only one doing this work.

EdibleSpirit is technically a collective of creative being channeling healing insight, energy, and experience through my body. As a result of this relationship, I have come to identify as “post-binary,” or “cosmically trans,” asserting Self-hood drawn from the parts of myself that move freely between feminine and masculine, light and dark, hedonism and asceticism… ultimately from a Self that exists dynamically between matter and spirit. As such, I am pronoun-flexible (he/she/they).

Trained as a psychic, medium, healer, and conscious channel, I am comfortable addressing clients’ concerns with life, love, and career, but I specialize in placing these issues within the larger context of spiritual experience, psychic awakening, and the challenges currently facing humanity.

The session style that has evolved through my work with EdibleSpirit is based on a system of healing that connects self care to psychic development and ultimately working in service of social justice. It is not atypical for EdibleSpirit to guide clients into understanding, stabilizing, and implementing their spiritual and psychic gifts while illuminating and empowering their service-based purpose and path as healers on Earth.

Through my work with EdibleSpirit, I offer my services as a healing channel in private sessions and group formats.  Additionally, I offer workshops, lectures and guided meditations designed to demystify and de-stigmatize spiritual healing, soul-study and the esoteric arts.

Origin story

I developed my commitment to service while working in my family’s restaurants - first in Detroit, then in New York City, and finally in Martha’s Vineyard.

After an early career as a playwright and director, in 2007 I co-authored and wrote the recipes for the critically acclaimed Tastes Like Cuba: An Exile’s Hunger for Home (Gotham Press). To promote the book I was a guest at the Culinary Institute of America as part of the Carroll F. Dooley Lecture Series, speaking on the topic of “Food As Medium”. I then spoke about “Food and Memory” at the Chautauqua Institution’s Literary and Scientific Circle.

In 2009, at age 26, I was appointed Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage of the historic Montauk Yacht Club, in Long Island’s East End, where I reinvented the resort’s dining concept and launched two restaurants: Gulf Coast Kitchen and Hurricane Alley. After a year in Montauk, I realized I didn’t want to spend my life “back-of-house,” so I moved to LA to pursue a career in food media.

While this aspect of my transplant proved fruitless, my cross-country move shoved me heart first into the banquet of West Coast mysticism and new age wellness. My first job reading tarot cards was at a tea parlor on Melrose in Hollywood. This gig led to a network of word of mouth referrals that caused the EdibleSpirit practice to grow into a bi-coastal and then international experience.

I began teaching in 2014, and organized several collective healing events, fairs, seances, and channeling circles. I specialized in immersive, one-off workshops designed to empower attendee’s access to psychic gifts that are right in front of us.

Beginning in 2017, I began combining my culinary and artistic disciplines with my EdibleSpirit practice. This led to several ongoing projects, including EdibleSpirit Suppers (hyper-seasonal 5 course dinners followed by a channeled group reading for attendees) AuraPics (one-of-a-kind digital aura portraits hand-drawn in real time by EdibleSpirit), FRQNCMTTR (an intentional electronic sound-bath experience combining live minimal techno music with live channeled vocals), and MYSTIC BUTTS (a spiritual improv comedy collaboration using live readings with audience members as material for sincere teaching and comedic sendups).

In 2018, I began officially training apprentices in the EdibleSpirit approach to healing. We explored several different digital formats to bring healing to our community including the weekly video readings: Elements of Spirit; the full service spiritual subscription: The EdibleSpirit Experience; the delicious astrology videos - EdibleSpirit FoodieScopes; and the pandemic inspired EdibleSpirit New Moon Zooms.

In the summer of 2020 we began offering readings as Reparations for generations of American racism, violence and oppression. We continue to offer free and discounted sessions to our BIPOC family.

And now, here we are, alive today, committed to using our gifts to support you in satisfying the body and nourishing the soul. Why? BECAUSE YOU ARE SO DELICIOUS!
